Bordun
A sound to work, create, focus.
Bordun is an iPhone app. It plays an endless, slowly-evolving drone tuned to one chord — no melody, no surprises — so you can concentrate.
It masks the room: the sounds that come and go, other people's speech especially. It opens every session with the same cue, a 20-second bloom of your home chord, so that over time the sound becomes familiar. With your permission it can listen to the room and shape its texture layer to cover whatever comes and goes — and it ships with its own built-in experiment so you can find out, from your own ratings, whether that adaptive layer helps you.
No account, no analytics, no network. Your session log stays on your phone.
